The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s dissertation entitled (The effect of learning by playing strategy supported by multimedia on social adaptation and the performance of some basic volleyball skills for female orphanage students aged (10-11) years), by the student (Hind Abd Ali Muhammad).

The study aimed to prepare a measure of social adaptation for female students of the Al-Zohour Al-Alawiya Orphanage aged (10-11) years, prepare educational units according to the strategy of learning by playing with multimedia for the sample mentioned above, and identify the effect of the learning strategy by playing with multimedia in developing social adaptation and basic skills in volleyball for female students aged (10-11) years in Al-Zuhur House for orphans.

The study concluded the contribution of the learning strategy through play and the method used by the orphanages chosen for the study, Al-Zohour, Al-Rahma, and Al-Zahraa, in improving social adaptation and learning some basic volleyball skills among the experimental and control groups.

The study recommended the need to include the learning-by-play strategy in learning sports skills, especially in childhood, because of its advantages that can be achieved easily, and the need to pay attention to the psychological and social aspects related to learning because of its positive effects in arousing motivation in the learner.

This study achieves the third and fourth sustainable development goals of good health, well-being and good education
